Tiny Steps, Big Futures
At just six weeks old, one of the newest little ones at our Center for Thriving Children is already taking the first tiny steps toward a bright future.
Her mom works nearby at Brookridge Retirement Community, making the Center for Thriving Children a convenient and trusted place for her baby to be cared for while she works. For a new mother, returning to work and leaving her baby in someone else's care can be an emotional transition. Knowing her child is close by, safe, nurtured, and receiving high-quality care can provide invaluable peace of mind.
At Imprints Cares, we are honored to be part of this family's journey. By caring for this little one, we are also supporting a mom who can go to work with the comfort of knowing her baby is in loving hands.
This is what impact looks like—supporting children from their earliest days while strengthening the families who love and care for them.

Community Champions
Partnership can take many forms, and over the years, Elevation Church has generously shared its time, talents, and resources to support the children, families, and staff of Imprints Cares in many meaningful ways.
During Elevation Church's annual Love Week, their generosity and spirit of service come to life through hands-on projects and special experiences. Volunteers have used their skills to build bookcases for our Ready for School families—helping children create home libraries and fostering a love of reading. They also built the picnic tables behind our building, creating an outdoor space our staff continues to enjoy for lunch, connection, and a little time outside during the workday.
Love Week also includes a Summer Carnival for our Parents as Teachers (PAT) and Family, Friend, and Neighbor (FFN) families, bringing children and parents together for an evening of fun, connection, and joy. Their support for PAT and FFN families has also extended to our holiday events, where Elevation Church has provided volunteers and gifts to help make the season special for the families we serve.
Elevation Church has also invested directly in opportunities for students at Ashley Elementary School by providing funding for an Imprints Cares afterschool program and summer camp opportunities. Their generosity helped ensure that children who might not otherwise have access to these enriching experiences had a safe and nurturing place to learn, grow, and thrive after school and throughout the summer.
These are just a few of the many ways Elevation Church has supported Imprints Cares through the years. Their commitment to meeting needs, serving consistently, and partnering strategically has made a lasting impact on our children, families, and staff.

Faces Behind the Mission
Meet Sarah Pitcher:
With more than 20 years of experience in education, Sarah Pitcher brings a deep passion for children, families, and learning to her role as a Family Educator at Imprints Cares. Using the evidence-based Parents as Teachers curriculum, Sarah partners with families to support their children’s development and help prepare them for success in school and in life.
Before joining Imprints Cares, Sarah taught eighth-grade English and served as a Montessori Guide for students in fourth, fifth, and sixth grades. She holds a bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science from Auburn University and a Master of Education from UNC Greensboro. For Sarah, becoming a Family Educator was a natural extension of the work she had already spent years doing with children and families.
“Watching the ‘a-ha’ moments with families is such a joy and privilege,” Sarah shares.
Outside of work, Sarah’s talents and interests are just as varied. She plays guitar, piano, ukulele, and a little mandolin, and her love of music began while growing up singing with her brothers and sisters. A twin and the youngest of six children, Sarah also loves puzzles and games and is an avid SEC football fan.
And here are two fun facts you may not know: Sarah can name every U.S. president in order—from memory—and she makes a mean banana pudding!
