Meet Vannessa Glesias, Family Educator – Pediatric Parenting Connections

 

For Vannessa Glesias, helping children thrive begins with supporting the people who know and love them best—their parents.

 

As a Family Educator with Imprints Cares’ Pediatric Parenting Connections (PPC) program, Vannessa works alongside families from pregnancy through early childhood. She provides guidance on child development, breastfeeding, developmental screenings, positive parenting, and connects families with community resources when additional support is needed.

 

“My goal is to help parents feel confident and supported as they navigate each stage of their child’s growth,” Vannessa shares.

 

For Vannessa, the Imprints Cares mission to nurture children for lifelong success begins with empowering and supporting parents.

 

“Every family deserves to feel heard, respected, and empowered,” she says. “Sometimes that means celebrating milestones, and other times it means helping families through challenges or connecting them with resources they didn’t know existed.”

 

It’s the possibility of making a difference, even through one interaction, that makes her work especially meaningful. “Knowing that even one conversation or visit can make a lasting difference in a child’s future is what makes this work so meaningful to me.”

 

Her coworkers might describe her in three words: resourceful, supportive, and dedicated which are the qualities that shine through in the work she does with families every day.

 

Outside of Imprints Cares, Vannessa enjoys spending time with her husband and their two young sons. Following their interests has also given her some unexpected expertise. “Let’s just say I know way more about emergency vehicles and construction equipment than I ever thought I would!”

 

She also enjoys gardening, experimenting with photography, and gluten-free baking and especially sourdough bread.
