Meet Tyler Foster

 

Behind every memorable summer camp adventure, creative activity, and special experience in our Expanded Learning programs is someone working to make childhood a little more fun. Meet Tyler, Enrichment Coordinator for Expanded Learning at Imprints Cares.

 

Tyler oversees special programming and enrichment activities for our Before & After School programs and plans the themes, activities, and field trips that make our summer camps so memorable.

 

His path to working with children began in an unexpected place—while studying zookeeping. Tyler discovered that his favorite part was leading educational programs for children. Later, while working at SciWorks Science Museum, he found his passion for planning summer camps and creating experiences that children would remember.

 

Tyler says the best part of his job is seeing children enjoy an activity he helped create. One moment that especially affirmed the impact of his work came through a summer camp review. Grandparents shared that their granddaughter lives out of state but spends each summer with them—and they make sure she returns to Imprints Cares Summer Camp each year. For Tyler, knowing that a child looks forward to coming back summer after summer makes all the planning worthwhile.

 

Tyler believes childhood is one of the most important times in a person's life. “I want to make sure that every student under our care has a great childhood.”

 

When he’s not creating the next great activity, Tyler enjoys watching TV and movies and spending time with his wife, Tanna. He also enjoys designing and 3D printing, loves Subarus and hopes to go skydiving someday.

 

And how would his coworkers describe him? Comical, handy, and helpful. We think that’s a pretty great combination for someone whose job is helping create experiences children won’t forget!
